This was my first build... I have discovered the geekhack forums after playing around a bit with my DAS keyboard and decided to take the leap into a custom made keyboard from the group buy section.   I am very happy that I did.  This keyboard was fun to build, looks and feels amazing to use, and I haven't even scratched the surface of the firmware.  It is completely customizable and re-mappable, full of tweaks.  Each key can have a LED added to it and the LED that come installed on the board have a very nice ambient look, cycling through RGB.  This build log will go through each step from the unboxing to the completed keyboard.  It will give a good idea of the process of putting together a keyboard from a group buy to those that are new to it and can help future projects as an outline of the steps that I took to successfully complete a full keyboard.  I do not go into the firmware interface and mapping but this will go from getting the kit to plugging it in to your PC and getting the Firmware set up.  I would like to thank geekhack for the help and a great community that makes these projects even possible.  On to the build!
